"Any Other Media was inspired by the frustration of being unseen. As a South American working in the UK film and TV industry, I was often forced to select “Any Other” on diversity forms, leaving my identity unrecognised. That small checkbox became a symbol of a larger issue: the erasure of underrepresented voices and ethnicities. This is a platform dedicated to documenting and celebrating those who are too often overlooked. Through storytelling and visual media, I aim to challenge industry norms and create space for authentic, diverse people and narratives to thrive".
Any Other Media is ran by Marlon Martinez, a Colombian videographer based in London. Marlon has worked for clients such as National Geographic, BBC Studios and Channel 4. He is alumnus of Imperial College London, where he studied MA Science Media Production to transition from an 8 year career in Biomedical Science to film making. His experience within science made him particularly unique to the TV and Film industry, offering a wealth of research knowledge. This experience has been applied to genres such as True Crime and Factual Entertainment.
Marlon currently works with the Audio-Visual team at Tate Modern, providing both technical support and video documentation of art installations, live events and performances.
